SFK - LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) Storage Tanks are specially designed containers used for the safe storage of LPG under pressure. LPG primarily consists of propane and butane, which are gases at normal temperature and pressure but become liquids when compressed.

Types of LPG Storage Tanks
1. Above-Ground Tanks
- Typically cylindrical, horizontal vessels
- Easier to inspect and maintain
- Common in domestic, commercial, and industrial applications
2. Underground Tanks
- Buried for safety or aesthetic reasons
- Require corrosion protection (e.g. cathodic protection)
- Suitable for locations with space limitations or aesthetic concerns
3. Mounded Tanks
- Similar to underground tanks but are covered with sand or earth
- Offer better protection from fire and impact
- A hybrid between above-ground and underground systems
Key Design Features
• Pressure-rated construction: Usually made of carbon steel and designed to handle internal pressures (typically 18–20 bar)
• Safety valves: For pressure relief to avoid explosions
• Level indicators: To monitor LPG content
• Liquid and vapor withdrawal points: For various application needs
Sizes
